The Urologic Oncology Fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is the largest and oldest of its kind in the world. Established by Willet Whitmore, Jr., in 1951, the program continues a tradition of rigorous clinical and research training in urologic oncology.

The fellowship program is accredited by The Society of Urologic Oncology (SUO), an American Urological Association affiliate. The fellowship is organized in an integrated, multi-disciplinary fashion offering rotations in urologic oncology, medical oncology, radiation oncology, gynecologic oncology, diagnostic genitourinary pathology, and experimental oncology.

The SUO was created in 1984 to enable qualified members interested in improving the care of patients with malignant genitourinary diseases.
